On April 19, an open class for partner schools in Japan and Mongolia was organized at academic lyceum of WIUT through the Zoom platform. In this open lesson, high school students gave information about how Navroz is celebrated in our country. The open lesson aroused such great interest among our partners that Mongolian students even tried to play the national game “Kim oladiyo, shuginaniyo?” themselves.
On April 16, a Grammar Quiz was held between the 1st courses at the academic lyceum of WIUT. Students were organized to compete in English grammar. 1Rug4 group became the winner of the competition.
13th April at the academic lyceum of WIUT Navrozi Olam, a traditional spring and renewal holiday celebrated with great pomp and joy. Lyceum students demonstrated the dances and customs of different nations and decorated beautiful festive tables.
The annual debate held between Cambridge International College and ALWIUT on the 8th and 9th of April has turned into a tradition. Four teams from each institution showcased their critical thinking and persuasion skills, and we are glad to announce that the students from ALWIUT brought home the title of winners!! We are extremely proud of our debaters as the tournament was very competitive, and we hope our students will continue to demonstrate their adept skills in such competitions.
On April 9, on the eve of the 688th anniversary of the birth of Amir Temur, a number of educational events were held at the Academic Lyceum of WIUT. 11 teams competed in the quiz organized on the life and work of the great commander; During the spiritual lessons, students visited the State Museum of the History of the Timurids.
A personal exhibition of artist Rustam Bazarov “Khammasi buladi Ok!” opened at the Tashkent House of Photography and first-year students visited this exhibition together with their teachers. It must be said that Rustam Bazarov is the first and only painter of his kind about the life of the city and its citizens; in his paintings, the city residents are quite recognizable people - on Gagarin Street, at the Chorsu market, on Broadway, at the opening of the exhibition.
This week Academic Lyceum of WIUT once again hosted everyone's favorite game - Quizium. This time, participants were faced with a variety of interesting questions commanded superheroes from Marvel and DC. Participants paid a fee to participate in this game, and with the collected funds, food packages were purchased as Ramadan gifts for low-income families.
On April 3, another tennis tournament was held Academic Lyceum of WIUT. Students of the 1st and 2nd year actively participated in the competition and the best players became the winners of the tournament.
