On March 30, 2023, the "Miss and Mister Westminster" competition of talented students of AL WIUT was held.
10 couples applied for participation in the competition, 5 of them passed the first stage.
The title of "MISS and Mister WESTMINSTER - 2023" was rightfully won by Abdullayev Ibrokhim, a student of 1st RUG1, and Ortikova Diyora, a student of 1st RUG3 group.
On March 28-31, the next checkers and chess competitions were organized at AL WIUT.
On 31.03.2023, an intellectual quiz was organized between student-girl teams at AL WIUT.
The 5 teams that scored the most points in the selection of the teams registered to participate in the quiz: "Kefteme", "Winks", "Donout", "Mean Girls", "Super Kelinchak" took part.
Looking for answers to questions related to various fields: law, art, science, culture, sports, the girls demonstrated their potential and increased their knowledge.
Another amazing event in the AL WIUT MUN is a scientific conference dedicated to global problems, which is held in the form of a simulation of the activities of the UN and its main committees.
The conference is organized according to the world-famous Model UN format, where participants will have the opportunity to represent the country, formulate their position and take part in the development of a resolution on the agenda.
The AL WIUT conference took place on March 25, 2021.
This conference brought together talented young people from many higher educational institutions, schools and lyceums in Tashkent, who are not indifferent to the global problems of society.
They worked in 4 committees: Security Council, General Assembly, ECOSOC, WTO
Hot Topics: Humanitarian Crisis in Yemen, Women and Gender Equality in the Middle East and North Africa, Semiconductor Shortages, Tax Evasion Issues.
On March 16, 2023, a spiritual and educational event was organized and held in our Academic Lyceum, calling for the achievement of noble goals in accordance with the spirit of renewal and creation inherent in Navruz.
The program of the event included national games, group performances, performance of folk songs and dances.
And also beautiful festive tables were set, where you could see various national dishes of Uzbek cuisine.
The event was bright and colorful.
The students of ALWIUT are actively engaged not only in the social life of the lyceum but also in collaborative events with the students of other educational settings. The academic lyceum of WIUT hosted a competition where the students of ALWIUT and Cambridge International College (CIC) debated on March 15. Overall, four teams, namely "Northwest" (ALWIUT), "Southwest" (ALWIUT), "Ibn Sino" (CIC), and "Alisher Navoiy" (CIC), participated in a debate consisting of two tournaments: "Technology makes people smarter" (first phase) and "Education is not key to success" (second phase). Each team consisted of six members. The themes for the debate were chosen randomly at the beginning of the event by judges.
The first phase of the debate, "Technology makes people smarter," saw equally compelling arguments from both teams. The "Northwest" team argued that technology does not make people smarter, but it is a tool that can enhance learning. On the other hand, the "Ibn Sino" team acknowledged the potential of technology in enhancing learning but also expressed concern about the negative effects of technology on the cognitive abilities of individuals.
The second phase of the debate also commenced with a passionate exchange of arguments from both teams, presenting their cases for and against the proposition that education is not the key to success.
In a nutshell, the event was a huge success, providing a platform for students to voice their opinions and engage in critical thinking and argumentation.
On March 10, 2023, the ALWIUT hosted 5x5 mathematical game among the 1st year girls.
There were 6 teams in the game.
The festive environment was very interesting questions, and
1Rug7 (3rd place), 1Rug1 (2nd place), 1Rug2 (1st place) group won winners.
On March 10, 2023, the traditional international “Food summit -2023” was held, where
6 teams, 22 participants, 3 countries (Mongolia, Uzbekistan and Japan).
Uzbekistan was represented by the team of AL WIUT, consisting of 4 students of the 1st year.
About 1000 people watched the event online, including 13 guests from various government, educational and private organizations.
The guys performed brilliantly and presented their vision and solution to the problem of food safety in modern society.
