On September 4, 2023, ALWIUT accepted new students into its ranks.

On the first day, introductory adaptation events were organized as part of the traditional “INDACTION DAY” project.

From the very morning, first-year students were surrounded by the attention and care of both facilitators and curators, which helped them quickly and easily navigate a completely different education system.

On September 4, 2023, on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a gala concert was held at the Academic Lyceum of Tashkent

International Westminster University under the slogan “For a new life, for a new Uzbekistan.”

On August 31, 2023 Evelina Absatarova and Timur Makhkamov organized a financial literacy workshop for teachers of ALWIUT. 

Participants were provided with a pre- and post-survey for the better understanding of their needs and existing knowledge of managing personal finances. 

During the workshop participants were provided with a practical series of steps-actions for reaching their goals and dreams, pondered about their personal budget planning (income and expenses), discussed possibility of investment and savings. 

Teachers not only enthusiastically expressed their feelings and ideas, but were interested in investment, credit score, Uzbekistan stock market, inflation, rating of Uzbek banks and etc.

The preparatory course "ALWIUT Academy" organized under the Academic Lyceum of Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) prepares students of the 9th grade for the entrance exams to the lyceum.

This course offers students the following opportunities:

• To improve knowledge and skills with the help of highly qualified teachers;
• Interactive education based on innovative technologies;

• Students who have successfully received IELTS 5 (5 +) will have the privilege of being exempted from the English section of the entrance exam.

The preparatory course is conducted in 2 directions:

ENGLISH – preparation for IELTS

MATHEMATICS - calculation skills and solving logical problems

It is not mandatory to choose both subjects (Students with an IELTS certificate with a score of at least 5,5 will have a chance to study only mathematics courses).

Course duration: 10 months (4 times a week). Classes will be conducted in the Uzbek and Russian languages.

Admission requirements to the preparatory course:

1. Online application till September 10, 2023.
2. Successfully passing the entrance exams which will be held on 13 September based on the subjects of English and Mathematics.
3. Students who score a total of 50% on the entrance exams will get an opportunity to study at the learning course "ALWIUT Academy". Exams will be held in Mathematics and English. The test lasts a total of 2,5 hours for two subjects. For the 2023-2024 academic year, the passing score at the learning course "ALWIUT Academy" is 50% in English and 50% in Mathematics.

On June 7, 2023, a solemn meeting dedicated to the end of the academic year was held at AL WIUT.

All groups that completed the 1st stage took part in the event.

To congratulate the students at the event, WIUT Rector Mirqasimov B.R. spoke.

Prize-winners of the "Lyceum Pride" scholarship, "Best open lesson", "Best open spiritual hour", teachers who trained the winners of the Republican Science Olympiad were presented with souvenirs and certificates of honor.

The results of the "Most Exemplary Group" contest were also announced during the event.

On May 24, 2023, the traditional sports event GIMNASTRADE -2023 was held at the Lyceum

9 teams took part in this colorful and bright event.

Each group was able to demonstrate excellent teamwork, sports enthusiasm and creativity.
