January 18 this year, the online mathematical game “Behind 7 Seals” was held at the academic lyceum of Westminster International University in Tashkent. 2 teams from Japan attended this event, 2 teams from Mongolia, and 2 teams from the WIUT Academic Lyceum.

On January 15 of this year, a concert was held at the Lyceum for the Homeland Defenders Day. The concert became a bright celebration, where students of the lyceum warmly congratulated all the defenders through poems, dances, songs, and cartoons in honor of the defenders of the Motherland, creating an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie.

The 20th International Zhautykov Olympiad(IZHO) took place on January 7-13 this year. The Olympics took place in Kazakhstan in the city of Almaty. Schoolchildren from 16 countries (Mongolia, Romania, Russia, Turkey, Indonesia, Serbia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan) took part. There were 680 participants in total (286 in mathematics, 194 in physics, 200 in computer science). Congratulations to our 2nd-year student Abdukayumov Asilbek, bronze medal winner of the 20th International Zhautykov Olympiad in Mathematics!

On December 20, 2023, at the WIUT Academic Lyceum, a meeting was held with representatives of the Moscow Aviation Institute Dumbadze Luiza Aslanovna, a specialist in the international project management department of the MAI, and Denis Alekseevich Prokopenko, deputy director of Institute No. 1 “Aircraft Engineering”. At the meeting, students of the academic lyceum became familiar with the rules for admission to the Moscow Aviation Institute, as well as the benefits that the institute provides for foreign students. Next, Prokopenko Denis Alekseevich conducted an interactive training with students. The students were split into several groups and, using handouts (markers, colored paper, scissors, glue), tried to design flying machines. By the end of the training, students presented their crafts and commented on their work. The meeting was held in an interactive and positive atmosphere. In conclusion, students of the academic lyceum received memorable gifts from representatives of MAI.

From November 1 to November 11, Malaysia hosted the Eurasian Spelling Bee, organized by ELPC Olympiad. A student of group 2RuG3 - Djusupova Aydariya was a participant in the Olympiad, took 3rd place and won a bronze medal.
