A celebration of State Language Day was held in WIUT Academic Lyceum on October 28. All groups of the lyceum with the Uzbek and Russian languages of instruction made their contribution to the event. Spectators witnessed such interesting performances as “West-Bride” prepared by Level 2 Russian groups and “The Adventures of Aladdin in Mirabad” presented by Uzbek groups as well as a movie “Uzbek Matrix” shot by group 1RuG1. Guests of the event also enjoyed national songs and melodies performed by students of Russian groups Feruza Nekbaeva, Natalya Plyukhina, Dilyara Ziyatdinova and Sitora Khodjaniyazova, and Uzbek fashion show by group 2RuG1. At the end of the event it was pointed out that all the people of Uzbekistan, regardless of their ethnic origin, show respect towards the official language of the country.
